Prepare for your Appointment
Shampoo deep condition and blow dry your hair before you come in for your braid session. Also make sure that all tangles are thoroughly combed out of your hair before coming in. Masusu Kinks offers shampoo, conditioning and comb out services for an extra fee. If you require your braids to be removed, please inform us when making your appointment.
Relaxed hair can be braided, as well as hair in its natural state. If your hair is natural, there is no need to straighten it first.
ALL SYNTHETIC HAIR STYLE PRICES INC. THE HAIR EXCEPT FOR WEAVES. If your style requires human hair you can either bring in your own or purchase it from us.
Getting Your Hair Braided
Please be on time. Appointments that are not honored within a half hour of your appointment time with no notification of a late arrival may be canceled due to scheduling conflict.
Based on previous experience, we can give you a GENERAL ESTIMATION of the time it will take to complete your style. However, every situation is unique so it is ONLY an ′estimation′. Sometimes, styles can run longer or shorter than expected. For best results, we ask that you do not rush your stylist. For those who are having styles that take 6 or more hours, we recommend that you do not have your hair done on the same day as important arrangements.
We ask for your consideration in regards to bringing children. Due to limited seating, it is best to make arrangements for children while your hair is being serviced.
Our waiting area is limited and is used for consultation and customers waiting to be serviced. Therefore, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing along any number of friends and family to wait for you while you are having your hair done.
While having your hair done, if at any point you see that the style is not going the way that we agreed, please let us know as soon as you know. After the style is finished, it might be too late for any adjustments to be made.
We do not allow any smoking, intoxicants and profanity to be used in the salon.
